Herbology
Course Description:
Herbology is a hands-on western herbalism course that introduces students to plant identification, botany basics, gardening, and the traditional uses of herbs and common plants. Students will learn to observe plant structures, identify leaves and flowers, grow and care for herbs, and safely complete plant-based projects such as herbal tea blends, salves, infused oils, tincture-style preparations, decoctions, glycerites, oxymels, natural plant dyes, pressed flowers, seed bombs, bath bombs, and nature-based crafts. The course emphasizes safe practices, careful observation, measuring, following procedures, environmental awareness, and creative applications of plant knowledge.
Possible Skills Covered:

Herbal Sprouts — TK - 2nd Grade
Come explore the magical world of herbs! A playful introduction to the world of herbs through the senses, nature walks, smelling and observing plants, simple gardening, storytelling, and herbal crafts. Little learners will use their senses to discover the wonderful colors, smells, and textures of familiar plants. We’ll sniff fragrant herbs, hunt for leafy treasures, learn how plants grow, enjoy nature-inspired stories, and create fun herbal crafts along the way. Through playful exploration and creative activities, children will begin to discover the wonders of the plant world and the many ways people have enjoyed and used herbs throughout history.
Herbal Explorers — 3rd – 7th Grade
Budding herbalists will dig deeper into the fascinating world of plants as they learn torecognize commonherbs, explore their unique characteristics, and discover how herbshave been used in traditional cultures.Students will practice observation and naturejournaling, learn about growing and harvesting herbs, andparticipate in engaging,hands-on activities such as creating herbal sachets, exploring infused oils, ormakingother simple herbal projects. Each lesson encourages curiosity, careful observation,and a deeperappreciation for the gifts of nature.
Herbal Studies — 8th - 12th Grade
Older students will take a closer look at the art and science of herbalism, combiningbotanical study withtraditional plant knowledge. They will explore plant identification,herbal preparation methods, ethicalharvesting, and the historical uses of herbs acrossdifferent cultures. Through guided projects, research, andpractical experiences,students will develop a deeper understanding of how plants interact with peopleandthe environment, while learning the importance of accurate identification, evidence-based research, andsafe, responsible herbal practices.

Dungeons & Dragons: Storytelling, Strategy & Social Skills
Course Description:
This interactive Dungeons & Dragons class combines creative storytelling, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fun and engaging learning environment. Students work together to create characters, solve challenges, and build collaborative stories while developing valuable academic and life skills.
Throughout the course, students will strengthen reading comprehension, creative writing, mathematics through gameplay, communication, public speaking, and logical reasoning. Every adventure encourages students to think critically, make thoughtful decisions, and adapt to new situations while working cooperatively with others.
As a certified Behavior Technician, I naturally incorporate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) into each session. Students practice collaboration, respectful communication, emotional regulation, perspective-taking, leadership, conflict resolution, and building confidence in a supportive environment.

In this class, young adventurers use their massive imaginations to solve puzzles, defeat friendly monsters, and work together as a team. It’s the perfect space for little heroes to build confidence, practice sharing, and embark on their very first epic quests through colorful storytelling, and hands-on creativity.
Level 2: Realms of Imagination — 3rd – 7th Grade
Step into a world of strategy, teamwork, and epic storytelling! In this class, players dive into the core mechanics of D&D, learning how to build unique characters, roll the dice, and navigate legendary quests. Together, they will solve intricate puzzles, engage in tactical combat, and make choices that directly shape their story. It is a fantastic, high-energy environment for building problem-solving skills, collaboration, and creative writing.
Level 3: Advanced Campaigns & Chronicles — 8th - 12th Grade
Dive deep into advanced storytelling, complex mechanics, and collaborative worldbuilding. In this campaign-focused class, teens take full control of their narratives, balancing tactical character builds with deep roleplay and moral dilemmas. Players will navigate rich political landscapes, participate in high-stakes combat, and even take turns behind the DM screen to learn the art of cooperative storytelling. It is the ultimate space for honing critical thinking, creative writing, and leadership skills with peers.
