Join us at The Secret Garden of Wrightwood for a hands-on afternoon learning all about the beautiful and powerful Elderberry.
We’ll explore Elderberry from both an herbalist’s and witch’s perspective, including its medicinal and metaphysical properties, its history and traditional uses, and the folklore and magick surrounding the Elder tree.
You’ll also learn how to recognize Elderberry in the wild, what parts of the plant to look for, when and how to harvest it, and important safety considerations when working with the plant.
Then we’ll get hands-on! Everyone will make their own Elderberry Tincture to take home, with the option of making an Elderberry Liqueur instead.
Come learn how to identify, harvest, and work with a plant that has been valued in herbalism and magick for generations.
